Saturday Coding Club (Spring Term 2020)
On Saturday mornings, starting 11th January 2020 we will be running three coding sessions for different age groups and abilities.
Our first group is open to 5 – 8-year-olds and this course will be for one hour only from 0930 – 1030 each Saturday morning.
The course uses cartoons to educate young students on how to code using simple everyday analogies like getting dresses and how we eat our food. As we progress we put all the blocks together and start programming characters that move around the screen but keeping your young child occupied but learning all the time.
Our second group is open to 7 – 11-year-olds and this course will be for two and a half hours from 1000 – 1230 each Saturday morning.
The course uses a more advanced method but the principles and subjects are the same.
Our third and final group is open to 10 -13-year-olds and this course will be for two and a half hours from 1000 -1230 each Saturday morning.
In addition to these groups, we can cater for children in secondary school who want to embark on a career maybe in Computer Sciences and therefore can educate your child in the following subjects:-
Students taking these advanced courses will get a good education that will help them with their GCSE and A-Levels in Computer Sciences.
All students signing up to any of these courses will be monitored on their progress which will be sent to the parents at the end of each session. On completion of any course, a certificate will be issued.
All courses are in line with the National Curriculum.
All students are requested to pay a £40 registration fee per annum in addition to each courses fees.
When booking please select the relevant age group for your child. All computers used are touch screen Raspberry Pi’s linked to our own secure network.
